Daniel Leighton has been a photographer for twelve years. His images have appeared recently in Photon magazine and he is the recipient of numerous grants and awards, in addition to having been represented in a number of gallery showings and juried exhibits. He works almost exclusively with the female figure and portrait. He is largely self-taught, though owes a great deal of his experience to informal workshops he has participated in over the years, including those led by such names Joyce Tenneson, George Holz, and Greg Gorman.
Leighton lives in Davenport, Iowa, and presently teaches photography and computer imaging courses at Clinton Community College, Clinton, Iowa.
